1) 7 Charged in Web Scam Using Ads

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/10/technology/us-indicts-7-in-online-ad-fraud-scheme.html?_r=1&ref=technology

2) A handful of men from Estonia were arrested as a result of swapping legitimate advertisements with those that would profit them. They also redirected clicks in search engines in order to receive sums of money.

3) Internet users and the owners of the various advertisements that were swapped in the scandal served as the stakeholders in the issue.

4) Security is a huge issue relating to the article because the arrested men were unauthorized to access or alter those ads.

5) Home and leisure would be an area of impact because internet users would come across the ads

6) An advantage to the accusers of the issue would be that they collected around 14 million from their scam.

7) A disadvantage to the issue would be the fact that it is unsafe to innocent internet users.

8) I think its interesting that hundreds of thousands of computers could be affected by the malicious software without being noticed by its users. It makes me feel as though technology, despite being very helpful and vast, is being used more and more negatively.

9) A solution would be for more people and organizations to guard the internet and come up with more effective ways to pinpoint virus' and those that create them.

A Silicon Valley School That Doesn’t Compute

2) The article is about the Waldorf school in Silicon Valley that teach students without the presence of technology. Instead, the administration seeks to engage student in creative activities and interaction between students.
3) Students and their parents, school administrations
4) People and machines, policies and standards
5) Education
6) I think that if the Waldorf schools aren't that different from the environment that my generation grew up with in elementary school. We were no where near as developed and aware of the technological possibilities that students make use of today.
7) I agree with the Waldorf schools and their belief that if needed, students are able to easily learn and take up technological skills. However, I dont necessarily believe that technology isn't a very useful tool to elementary students. To a certain extent,
8) Some positives that result with the introduction of technology in elementary school is opportunity for alternative teaching styles, students would learn to be more independent when working, and their creativity would be enhanced. Some negatives to it would be the lack of social interaction, there may be a greater kids may be a greater aptness to plagerism.

Amazon Signs Up Authors, Writing Publishers Out of Deal
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/17/technology/amazon-rewrites-the-rules-of-book-publishing.html?_r=1

1) Amazon has begun publishing books and is working to compete with well known publishing companies to buy the attention of authors

2) Publishers, authors, amazon, book readers

3) Intellectual Property is an issue related to the article becaus both Publishing companies and Amazon believe that they have the ownnership to the various books that they should be publishing.

4) Art, entertainment, and leisure

5) I think its interesting to see how much a company can grow. The article will affect me in the future when I start purchasing cheaper alternative books online for college.

6) I foresee an increased number of conflicts that may result in lawsuits against Amazon. As Amazon continues to spread its influence and role in society, there probably will be a higher rate in the number of issues relating to the company.
